Bowed Down With Guilt

A prayer based on Psalm 39

Lord God, heavenly Father, our sins are piled up higher than the tops of our heads. They are too heavy for us to bear. We are bowed down, nearly crushed by the weight of our guilt. Forgive us according to your great mercy, proclaimed to us in the gospel of your Son, so that we might praise your wonderful name, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
