Clear skies. Warm. Breezy. West-southwest wind around 9 mph. I set out from the parking area on the San Dieguito River Trail (parallel to Mission Road) and headed east.
Notes
- Profuse mustard blooms.
- The white flowers of California Cudweed pair well with the vibrant yellow of mustard.
- Lots of Italian thistle
- Heard another vocal Black-headed Grosbeak in a tree. Didn’t have my binoculars so I couldn’t get a good look.
- Large patches of Deerweed along Del Dios Highway.
