Birding at Malibu Lagoon

Earlier in the week, I spoke at a pastors’ conference in Ventura County. I stopped in Malibu on the drive home so I could check out Malibu Lagoon.

I arrived around 12:30 P.M. and parked in the car park off Cross Creek Place. The weather was perfect—62° F and sunny with a slight breeze. I slowly worked my way along the western edge of the lagoon and then followed the beach access trail along the southern edge before turning around and retracing my steps. Along the way, I spotted a new life bird: a Snowy Plover.

What a beautiful place!
