Restore My Drought-Stricken Soul

A prayer based on Psalm 126

And now, God, do it again—
bring rains to our drought-stricken lives
So those who planted their crops in despair
will shout “Yes!” at the harvest,
So those who went off with heavy hearts
will come home laughing, with armloads of blessing.
— Psalm 126:4–6 (The Message)

O Lord, you who water the desert and robe it in a riot of color, let your life-giving rains restore my drought-stricken soul, that I may laugh for joy and sing the praises of your wonderful name, through Jesus Christ, my Lord. Amen.
