Leaping and Singing for Joy

A prayer based on Psalm 31:7–8

I will rejoice and be glad in your steadfast love, because you have seen my affliction; you have known the distress of my soul, and you have not delivered me into the hand of the enemy; you have set my feet in a broad place.
— Psalm 31:7–8

Our God and Father, you see our pain, you know the anguish burdening our souls. Don’t let our tormentors have their way with us any longer. Give us room to breathe, so that we might leap and sing for joy because of your loyal love, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
