Awe and Intimacy

The intimate presence of the holy God

Holy Father, you are clothed in majesty and exalted above the heavens. You dwell in unapproachable light. Night and day the angels surrounding your throne cry, “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory.”

Abba, Father, you have set your strong love on us in Christ. You sent the Spirit of adoption, the Spirit of your Son, to dwell in us so that we might know we’re your beloved children.

Such staggering majesty! Such breathtaking love! We bow before you in wonder and awe, and delight in your warm embrace, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
